July 2007 – The Month of Records

(Bucharest, August 1^st, 2007)

July is the month that follows the last months’ trend of increasing the quantity and the value of the spot trades volume, all the statistical parameters reaching the maximum values from the start up of the new trading platform for Day Ahead Market:

• total traded volume: 24,552.655 MWh (July 29^th )

• average volume hourly traded: 1,023.027 MWh/h (July 29^th)

• DAM market share: 18.77% (July 29^th)

• trades value: 4,785,569.46 lei, respectively 1,529,180.21 euro (July 18^th)

• hourly traded volume: 1,218.506 MWh/h (7^th interval, on July 30^th).

From the point of view of monthly values, July holds the trading records. Thus, the total traded volume was 564,545.376 MWh, with an average volume hourly traded of 758.798 MWh/h. This total traded volume had a share of 12.42% from the domestic consumption and it had a total value of 37,394,082.03 euro. The daily average value of trades exceeded the value of one million euro/day (1,206,261 euro/day). The energy price had the average value of 67.39 euro/MWh.
