    Centralized market with double continuous negotiation of the electricity bilateral contracts – launching of trading

    On 16.05.2014 the trading activity on the Centralized Market with double continuous negotiation of the bilateral contracts for electricity started (PC-OTC). For the trading session were granted with trading rights all the participants registered on PC-OTC that notified OPCOM that they granted eligibility rights for at least other four market participants that are also fulfilling the conditions for being granted with trading rights. First trades amounted 240 MWh at an average price of 106,25 Lei/MWh, for base delivery.

    The trading platform, delivered by the British company Trayport, was launched for commercial operation by OPCOM SA on 03.03.2014 using the production environment of the trading system. At the same time, starting with 25.02.2014, a test environment was put at the market participants disposal for experimental use of the trading platform. The trading environment is available, on each working day.

    On PC-OTC could be traded standard products for physical delivery of the electricity for base, peak and off-peak, for delivery periods of one day, weekend, week, month, quarter, semester and year.
