© ICIS HEREN - SEE to set up coordinated auction office in a year |
2012-05-02 |
A project team company, aiming to start up the southeastern European (SEE) Coordinated Auction Office (CAO) within a year, has received the final go-ahead, the Energy Community said last week. SEE CAO will help establish a regionally coordinated electricity capacity allocation and congestion management mechanism. Shareholders plan to set up the project company, which will establish the legal, technical and financial aspects of the CAO, before the summer in Podgorica, Montenegro. Contributions from the nine network operator shareholders, as well as from international financing institutions, will fund the company. The operators are based in Albania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Greece, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia and Kosovo. The CAO project has faced delays, and the originally envisaged deadline for 2012 has been missed (see EDEM 2 March 2012). (THE ICIS HEREN REPORTS - EDEM 16083 / 30 April 2012) |
