| The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted Moldova a €17m loan to improve the infrastructure of the country`s electricity grid, according to a press statement on Wednesday (27th June). The funds will enable Moldova to revamp its power grid to meet European transmission grid standards from European grid operator body ENTSO-E, working towards a more integrated electricity system across Europe. The money will go towards several projects, including upgrading transmission lines and improving substations. (THE ICIS HEREN REPORTS - EDEM 16122 / 27 June 2012) |
