Hungarian electricity grid operator Mavir plans to launch the country’s energy exchange on 1st July, offering Day-ahead products, KPMG partner Peter Kiss responsible for managing the project, told Heren Energy on Wednesday (27th February), at the sidelines of the Prague-based Energy in Central and Eastern Europe Conference. “We are in the final phase of negotiation with strategic partners, such as Nord Pool, Opcom and EEX,” he said. The bourse would start trading longer-dated contracts in the future, according to Kiss. Mavir is currently the full owner of the future exchange, but plans to eventually sell shares in the project to market participants. (THE HEREN REPORTS - EDEM 12041 / 27 February 2008) |
