The Romanian Environment Ministry will invest EUR 20 million into renewable generation, it announced this week. Starting next year, the ministry plans to finance projects through its Environment Fund. Minister for the environment Attila Korodi said that this package was four times greater than any it had commissioned to date. By December 2009, the ministry will also draw up a rulebook for companies and individuals to apply for this money, Korodi added. The Environment Fund is a government programme designed to aid environmental programmes. (THE ICIS HEREN REPORTS - EDEM 12 173 / 5 September 2008) |
