Deutsche Bank (DB) is considering investing in renewable energy in Romania, the local Business Standard reported this week. According to these reports, DB is assessing the feasibility of constructing a 50-100 MW wind farm, although other forms of renewable are also on the table, including water and biomass. If DB does enter the Romanian power market it may also open a trading desk. However due to the current financial crisis the bank has yet to give the green light to either project. No one at DB was available to comment. (THE ICIS HEREN REPORTS - EDEM 12 193 / 3 October 2008) |
