  • ©ICIS HEREN - Romania confirms six partners for Cernavoda
    2010-04-06
Romania’s economy ministry confirmed that all six companies that had shown initial interest in the expansion plans of the Cernavoda nuclear plant had been signed up to build units 3 and 4 of the plant. GDF Suez, Enel, CEZ and RWE Power will each hold 9.15%, while Iberdrola and ArcelorMittal will each hold 6.2%, the ministry said in a statement. State-owned Nuclearelectrica will hold the remaining 51% of the development, which will consist of two 720 MW units. Plans for the plant’s expansion were temporarily derailed earlier this year, when the government decided it wanted Nuclearelectrica to have majority control of the project.
