    Romania’s Nuclearelectrica, the state-owned nuclear power company leading the Cernavoda expansion project told ICIS Heren on Wednesday (11th March) that the new nuclear consortium will officially be created next week. The consortium, called Energo Nuclear, will comprise ArcelorMittal, CEZ, GDF, SUEZ, Enel, Iberdrola, RWE Power and Nuclearelectrica. Construction on the �4bn project, to develop two 720 MW units, should begin at the start of 2010, with the first unit ready by 2015, a spokeswoman said. She added that project developers would apply for regulatory approval as soon as the consortium is formed. (THE ICIS HEREN REPORTS - EDEM 13 049 / 11 March 2009)
