Romanian gas company Romgaz and Russian giant Gazprom are planning to establish a joint venture to build gas storage facilities and thermal power plants in Romania, the Romanian media reported, citing Romanian Economy Minister Adriean Videanu on Tuesday (26th May). “Following talks with the Russian officials during my visit to that country, we have decided the set-up of a Romgaz-Gazprom joint venture to build gas-storage facilities and produce electricity in this part of Europe”, Videanu was quoted as saying at the EU-Russia Economic Forum at Bucharest.
