EDP Renovaveis is commissioning a 90MW wind farm in the southeast of Romania by the middle of 2010 according to regional news reports. The renewables arm of Portuguese utility EDP is investing �100m in the park in Medgidia, installing Vestas turbines. EDP Renovaveis owns an 85% stake in Renovatio Power and Cernavoda Power, according to Romanian daily Ziarul Financiar, and these are developing wind projects with 736MW capacity. The Portuguese company also plans a 138MW wind farm in Cernavoda, aiming at 298MW of installed capacity by 2012. EDP Renovaveis was not available to confirm these reports.
