| Spot volumes on the Romanian exchange OPCOM increased slightly month on month in October, reaching 489.45GWh, the exchange said on Wednesday. Year on year, the increase was just under 25%. The average price dropped in October to �45.85/MWh compared with �65.01/MWh during the same period last year. The hourly transactions increased in October to 657MWh from 627MWh in September, with 67 out of the 98 participants active on the market. Volumes on the forward market reached 978.14GWh, up from 950.90GWh in September. The average price was �44.90/MWh.
