Czech power incumbent CEZ has agreed to buy out Romanian Electrica’s 19% stake in Romanian power distributors CEZ Distributie and CEZ Vanzare for �145.36m, according to a statement released on Friday (9th October). CEZ has now assumed full control of the companies after exercising an option enshrined in the privatization agreement when it bought a 51% stake in Romanian power supplier Electrica Oltenia in 2005.
