PRESS RELEASE 10 December 2019 NEMOs publish the first CACM annual report on intraday and day-ahead coupling. The report prepared by the Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) in cooperation with Transmission System Operators (TSOs) monitors the implementation of the Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management Regulation and the associated Algorithm methodology. It provides a comprehensive overview of the single day-ahead and intraday coupling operations in 2018. It also sheds light on the current and future performance of market coupling algorithms, their scalability and the R&D activities undertaken. The CACM annual report 2018 outlines the work achieved by NEMOs and TSOs to ensure successful operations of market coupling solutions. The single day-ahead and intraday coupling are pillars of the internal energy market. A regular and transparent assessment of their operations and performance is key to support an effective EU market integration.
