OPCOM was visited by Mr. Ioan Codrut Seres, the Minister for Economy and Commerce
( Bucharest, 4 June 2005 ) As a new action in the context of the future launch of the New Trading Platform, the Minister for Economy and Commerce Mr. Ioan Codrut Seres visited OPCOM, the electricity market operator in Romania
Saturday, June 4, Mr. Ioan Codrut Seres, the Minister for Economy and Commerce visited SC OPCOM SA, the electricity market operator in Romania.
The representatives of OPCOM presented the institutional development and strengthening, relevant details of the operational activity, his contribution to the promotion of competition and the results obtained in the first five years of existence.
The development plans of the company to launch the national power exchange were discussed, as well as the intention to enlarge the operational framework to the South East European regional electricity market.
The minister Seres expressed his appreciation for the OPCOM’s presence in the electricity market and for the efficient activity, also his intention to support the institution in the achievement of the proposed goals.
