  • ©ICIS HEREN - EU to choose regulator home in December
    2010-04-06
The EU will make a final decision on the location of the new Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) in December. The timetable was announced at a meeting of the bloc’s energy ministers held in Sweden on Thursday (23rd July). Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia are vying to host the agency. ACER was established under the third package of energy reforms agreed in April. The body aims to improve cross-border regulatory cooperation for gas and electricity transmission. It is due to begin work by March 2011. (THE ICIS HEREN REPORTS - EDEM 13.142 / 24 July 2009)
