Ukraine’s energy ministry on Wednesday (2nd September) said that Ukrinterenergo resumed power exports to its western neighbors, in particular Poland, at the start of September. Flows through the 120MW cable to Poland would result in 63GWh being exported each month, according to a ministerial statement. There have been no commercial flows from Ukraine to Poland since 12 June. The energy ministry added that following repair work on the power cables in the south-western region of Ukraine, compatible with Europe’s UCTE network, monthly flows to Romania, Slovakia and Hungary, would increase to 208GWh.
