Spot volumes on the Romanian exchange OPCOM dropped 6% month on month, totalling 460.23 GWh in November. But this volume represents an increase of 8.24% over the 425.18 GWh of volumes from the same period a year earlier. Hourly transactions dropped 2.7% to 639 MWh over the same period, from 657 MWh in October. Last month the average year-on-year price recorded a 39% fall – the largest month-on-month variation for the year to date – dropping from �60.53/MWh to just �28.26/ MWh, according to the operator. Volumes on the forward market totalled 836 GWh, 4% down from 978 GWh in October. These and traded at an average price of �39.45/MWh.
