| Transaction volumes surged to new highs on the Romanian spot and intra-day exchange earlier this week, breaking all records since OPCOM was launched five years ago, the platform said. Nearly 28.1 GWh traded for next-day delivery on Tuesday (5th January) amounting 17.95% of overall consumption forecast for the period. This meant an hourly average of 1.1 GWh traded, with 62 participants out of 99 active. On Thursday (7th January), volume dropped slightly to 26.49 GWh, with Day-ahead volume at an hourly average of 1.1GWh. November spot volumes dropped 6.00% month on month, totaling 460.23 GWh.
