| Italy`s Enel Green Power (EGP) has started operating its 34MW Agighiol wind farm in Romania, the company`s first wind power generator in the country, it announced on Monday (6th December). The plant, made up of 17 wind turbines, will be able to generate about 100GWh/year and meet the energy needs of more than 35,000 households, EGP said. The company, a subsidiary of utility Enel, said it plans to expand its wind energy generation in Romania, where wind capacity is expected to grow to 600MW by the end of 2010 and 3,600MW by 2015, from 14MW at the end of 2009, it said.
