Bulgaria is looking to start reduced commercial flows with Turkey from June, NEK, the Bulgarian incumbent told the local press on Tuesday (22nd March).
Turkey synchronised its grid with Bulgaria and Greece in September, and was expected to start importing up to 500MW from the Balkan countries this year (see 18 September 2010).
NEK could not make any comments at the time the report went to press, but Turkish sources said "it would make sense" to start importing capacity from Bulgaria and Greece in June when power demand is expected to spike.
