    10-07-20 Enel backs boost to Romanian wind power
    Enel Green Power in Romania has signed an agreement with Romanian group Elcomex to develop a large wind farm in Dobrogea. The project will add 272MW of installed capacity to the Romanian grid, according to a statement released on Friday (16th July). Enel Green Power has the option to buy the company owning the project once authorisation has been given.

    The Romanian subsidiary of trading firm Consus is the first company to join the new emissions platform run by OPCOM, the Romanian power exchange, it confirmed on Friday. The platform was launched on 1 June (see EDCM 27 May 2010).

    The Italian renewable energy sector was relieved on Wednesday (7th July) when a lawmaker introduced an amendment that would diminish the state-run energy management agency GSE's duty to buy left over green certificates in 2011.
