OPCOM participation in the 17th edition of the "International Conference on Energy and Environment - ICCI 2011", in the Session organized by Turkish Electricity Producers Association (Elektrik Üreticileri Dernegi), held on June 16. This session was devoted exclusively to the developments of the electricity markets in Europe and Turkey. For this reason there were invited representatives of relevant European electricity markets such as Nord Pool Spot and EPEX, and OPCOM, the only electricity market in the SEE which has the highest liquidity in CEE.

Participation at the conference for OPCOM’s delegation, was an opportunity both for being informed on the development of energy markets in Europe (NordPool, EPEX Spot, electricity market in Turkey), as well as an opportunity to promote the developments registered in electricity market in Romania, through the presentation submitted by OPCOM’s delegation in the second day of the conference, on June 16, 2011, session 27, which was dedicated to the structure and operation of electricity markets in Europe - country studies.

OPCOM participation at the 10th edition of “Energy Investment and Regulation Conference" organized by ERRA - Energy Regulators Regional Association for Central and South-East Europe and the former Soviet Union - with the support of U.S. Regulators Association (NARUC).

On this occasion there was a useful information exchange regarding the status of the establishment of the regional energy markets in Central and South-East Europe, this conference beeing a great opportunity to promote the role of OPCOM as market operator in the South-East European regional market.
