FOREN 2018 – WEC CENTRAL & EASTERN EUROPE REGIONAL ENERGY FORUM Costinesti, Vox Maris Grand Resort

The 14th edition of the WEC CENTRAL & EASTERN EUROPE REGIONAL ENERGY FORUM - FOREN 2018, with the theme "Central and Eastern Europe in the New Era of Energy Transition: Challenges, Investment Opportunity and Technological Innovation” was organized by the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (WEC/RNC) with the kind support of the World Energy Council and WEC/RNC corporate and individual members, in Costinesti at Vox Maris Grand Resort.
The event included 5 Discussion Sessions and 11 important events with relevant current topics for energy sector from Romania and Europe.

OPCOM participation as co-organizer of the main session KA2, with the theme ”Renewable Electricity System Integration: Development of energy markets in Europe. Covering energy needs in the context of markets interconnection”.
The session was chaired by "OPCOM" SA along with Mr. Nicolae Golovanov, Professor at the University “Politehnica” of Bucharest, WEC/RNC Counselor, covered speeches and presentations held by representatives of ANRE, CNTEE Transelectrica SA, ICPE CA, CEZ Romania, Energy-Serv and OPCOM, and took place in Romania Hall at Vox Maris Grand Resort from Costinesti, on June 14, 2018.
It was appreciated the role of OPCOM for ensuring the proper functioning of centralized energy markets in Romania and in the region, concerns for E-RES integration exclusive through market mechanisms, the efforts to support the process for achieving the European Single Market.

OPCOM participation to the fourth edition of FOCUS ENERGETIC Gala “Women in Energy”, which took place on June 25, 2018, in Bucharest at Athenee Palace Hilton Hotel. The event has focused on some of the most important women in the energy sector or that have a major influence on it. The excellence awards granted to the “Women in Energy” have rewarded the work, the abnegation, the skill, the tenacity, but also the exceptional results of these ladies.
