    Transelectrica has organized the international Conference "Regional Electricity System and Market towards the Internal Electricity Market" - RESYM 2007. It was the 3rd edition of the event and there were more than 200 participants, Governmental representatives, public companies, and regulation authorities, financial organizations from Romania and from Europe. Were analyzed the energy policies of the National Companies from the Region. At Conference participated the Minister of Economy and Commerce, Varujan Vosganian.
    OPCOM representative presented the paper "OPCOM Role in the Development of the Regional Market and Implementation of European Commission Policy".

    Bucharest, The Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest (ASE)
    IRE Association and OPCOM together with ASE, National Scientific Research Institute for Labour and Social Protection, General Association of the Romanian Economists organized the round table entitled “THE INSTITUTION OF THE ENERGY MARKET IN THE NEW GLOBAL ECONOMY”.
    The event, dedicated to energy – essential service for the entire society, is the first action of a dabates Forum regarding the economical specific aspects of the post-accession period to the EU, for the sectors of the Romanian economy.
    The following papers were presented by OPCOM’s specialists: ? The Regional Market - an intermediate step towards the single European Market ? Day-Ahead Market between present and future: performance and development for the Wholesale Electricity Market Strengthening ? IT Trading System Development related to the Electricity Market ? Romanian Green Certificates Market – a step towards RES promotion in accordance with the 3rd energy package.

    With the occasion of interconnection of Cernavoda NPP Unit 2 with the NES, Nuclearelectrica and Finmedia have organized the Conference „NUCLEAR ENERGY – clean energy for a clean environment”.
    Participants were representatives from Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, ANRE, ARCE, OPCOM, and also representatives from equipments providers, power generators and distribution companies, banks and financing institutions in energy field.

    Invited by WEC-Romanian National Committee, OPCOM SA participated to "Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development Policies and Indicators" Conference series, with the theme “Main Actors in Energy Efficiency promoting”.
    The Conference was held at common initiative of WEC-RNC, ARCE, BCCI and MEF, and the participants were from the power sector - generators, consumers, equipment producers, research institutes, ministries and authorities with environment protection responsibilities related.
    OPCOM representative has sustained the presentation entitled "Energy Efficiency Promoting – in key with Europe. White Certificates.”

    Were invited: reprezentatives from Ministry of Economy and Finance, The Royal Norwegian Embassy, World Energy Council-Romanian National Committee, Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority, IRE-Romanian reprezentative to EURELECTRIC, Association of Electricity Suppliers in Romania, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Hungarian Power Exchange-HuPX.

    During the Eighth editon of Energy Trading Central & Eastern Europe Conference, the ESO EAD reprezenative prezents the coordinates for cooperation between ESO – Transelectrica – OPCOM for implementing a Bulgaria – Romania spot market, as a first step toward the regional spot market in South Eastern Europe.

    The Romanian Institute for Energy Development Studies - IRE, has organized the annual Confererence "Challenges of the Romanian electricity market integration into internal European Market".
    OPCOM was co-organizer of the event. OPCOM reprezentative presented the paper "Promotion of implicite auctions for Regional Spot Market".
    At Conference works participated also Mr. Paul Bulteel and Mr. Hans Ten Berge, the present and the future general secretary of EURELECTRIC.

    World Energy Council - Romanian National Committee (CNR-CME) and OPCOM, with the kind support of CCIB and Ministry of Economy and Finance, have organized the Conference "The Electricity Market" with the subject "Centralized Trading on the Wholesale Power Market".
