    Central counterparty machanism for the Day-Ahead Market - First trading day

         Implementing the guarantee mechanism and the IT system for electronic Receipts and Payments, on 1st July 2008, OPCOM became counterparty for each DAM Participant, for the electricity sell/buy trades.

       OPCOM participated to FOREN2008 – Regional Energy Forum organized by the World Energy Council Romanian National Committee. The main theme was „Regional Energy Policy. Working Together. Next Steps”.
      

       At this edition, Opcom SA was also a co-organizer, managing the discussion session DS2 „The Electricity Market”, and within it organized DS2.1 - „The Role of the Power Exchange Products in Developing the Wholesale Market” si DS2.5 - „Wholesale Market: Risk Management and the Development of the Transaction Products”. Opcom SA has seven presentations, and the paper named „Alternative models towards a regional spot market” won the great prize.

    MAVIR-HUPX informed OPCOM about its decision to run the negociations regarding the service contract for organizing the spot transactions at HUPX-Hungarian Power Exchange, following the declaration that OPCOM won the invitation to tender procedure started on 26.07.2007.
